A common family tradition during Christmas time is to take a trip to see The Nutcracker. A lot of people do not know any other ballet companies in the Houston area perform the nutcracker as well. The Bay Area Houston Ballet and Theater (BAHBT) performs the nutcracker every year at the University of Houston Clear Lake (UHCL). Instead of traveling to Houston, you can come down to the Bay Area where it is closer and enjoy the excitement and magic of the nutcracker. BAHBT works endlessly on preparing for 14 shows at UHCL and three shows in Baytown. Tickets are selling fast, so get your tickets at https://www.bahbt.org/ and see the amazing nutcracker. It will be during the first 3 weekends in December.  

First weekend- Dec 2-5 

Second weekend– Dec 10-12 

Third weekend- Dec 17-19 

The first two weekends are held at UHCL in the Bayou Theater. A great way to start supporting the community of League City and the Arts is to go to the BAHBT nutcracker closer to everyone! This year, students from Feijoo Ballet School, which is the ballet school where most of the dancers in BAHBT train every day and work hard. These students are Performing the Professional roles such as Sugar Plum Fairy, Rose, in act II and Snow Queen in act I. Don’t forget to get your tickets and come enjoy a wonderful 2-hour production of BAHBT Nutcracker!
