The Charger football team has just made a huge step towards winning the district.

The team beat Clear Brook 42-7 on Friday, October 27 at Challenger Columbia Stadium. The victory takes the team to a 5-2 overall record and a 4-1 record in district, putting them in a three-way tie for first place with Friendswood and Clear Lake.

“We have tried to execute every play on offense,” Todd Hudson (11) said. The Chargers scored six offensive touchdowns with Hudson scoring four of them. Peyton Sawyer (12) and Michael Gillaspia (12) also put points on the board, giving the Chargers an overwhelming lead.

“We’re doing a good job of paying close attention to what other teams do and learning their defenses,” Hudson said. The team will be gearing up for the playoffs soon with only two games remaining–Friendswood and Clear Lake.

“We’re preparing just like we would any other game and practicing hard,” Hudson said. The team will play Friendswood on Friday, November 3 at Friendswood High School.
