Trends come and go fast. One trend could be in the media now and tomorrow people will be onto bigger and better things. The world moves quickly and society is keeping up with the latest trends.

Trends are what’s popular and happening right now in life. Clear Springs High School isn’t blind to the trends, either. Students help trends grow and even create some.

“I think trends are the type of thing that bring people together because everyone is into the same trend at the same time,” Jordan Thomas (9) said.

When fidget spinners became popular, everyone had to have one. People would have up to six spinners and there were trades and tricks people were doing. The trend included a big amount of society and young people united together in a way by these spinners.

“Some trends are really dumb and I don’t understand why people do them, like the eyebrow trends, the eyebrows are too much,” Serenedy Alcaraz (9) said.

A lot of the fast trends right now are makeup trends. Girls or guys are doing all sorts of things to their eyebrows. Trends in makeup travel fast and everyone is always doing the latest. Not all makeup makes the cut, such as feather brows, but other trends stay for good, such as highlighting or contouring.

“Lately a lot of people at school have been wearing exercise clothes and Jesus sandals with socks,” Thomas said.

Many trends involve clothing. In the hallways, people are wearing comfy and in-style clothing. Joggers are currently really popular as it gets cooler outside. Everyone chooses styles that are comfy, casual and trending.

Social media apps are buzzing everywhere today. Social apps started making a big hit with the public when Facebook was launched in 2004. Today, people are snapping friends and posting their trendy pictures on Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat, to name a few.

“I use those apps to stay connected and post pictures that my friends can see,”Alcaraz said.

Even though trends don’t stay for long, they make an impact on people everywhere–the beauty industry, fashion industry, social media industry and Clear Springs High School.
