TAFE

TET isn’t the only organization around school known for inspiring future educators!
“TAFE stands Texas Association of Future Educators. We participate in service work for the community and the school,” Amanda Respondek (11) said.
TAFE is a community of students that come together on certain Wednesday’s of each month to help out the community as well as come up with different ideas to decorate the school.
“I am currently one of the TAFE officers, I am part of the SOCO. I help decorate different things around the school, and with everyone’s different creative abilities it come in handy,” Johnathon Renteria (12) said.
TAFE has different focuses each week. They focus a lot about less celebrated or known holidays and how to make everyone in the school special. They even honored the custodians because national custodian day had just passed.
“We made cards for the custodians, we tried to go more in depth than just ‘thank you for picking up the trash’ we tried to make it more ‘thank you for making our school a more warm and beautiful place,” Respondek said.
“TAFE made about more than 50 cards because everyone made at least 2 cards and we are a total of about 50 people,” Renteria said.
Making everybody feel loved and known is what TAFE is all about!
