Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi announced their engagement on Instagram after dating for two years. Rumors surrounding a potential engagement began swirling around about a week ago after Brown posted a picture hugging Bongiovi with a sparkling ring on her finger captioned, “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ‘em all” from Taylor Swift’s song, Lover. Bongiovi posted a similar photo around the same time captioned, “Forever.”

The couple met online in 2021 and became friends before they began dating. Brown, 19, became famous after she starred in “Stranger Things” as Eleven. Since then, she’s acted in “Enola Holmes” and “Enola Holmes 2” alongside Henry Cavill and released her own beauty line, “Florence by Mills.” 20-year-old Bongiovi, son of rock star Jon Bon Jovi, is originally from New York but currently lives in London. In Man About Town, he explained his intention to pursue acting rather than music like his father and can be seen in “Sweethearts”, “Rockbottom”, and PeopleTV.

And although they kept their relationship on the down low at first, Brown and Bongiovi have posted many affectionate, wholesome moments and comments on social media.

“Endlessly in love with the year I’ve had! grateful for my friends, family, donkey (bernard), my doggies, my puppies teeth, and my partner for life,” the 19-year-old wrote in January. “Here’s to another year with you and the wonderful people and animals around us 🤍 let’s do it again but better!”

On the actress’s birthday, Bongiovi wrote, “Another year around the sun together. I love you more than words can describe. Everything about you is golden down to the core .”

Both actors are still very young but aren’t the first Hollywood couple to tie the knot early. Many speculate this is because celebrities grow up quicker than ordinary people, and according to CMO Melissa Hobley at OkCupid, they are constantly “in the public eye” and are therefore “used to moving at a quick pace.” Or perhaps they both know what they want in life and are in a healthy place individually.

Whatever the reason, fans are excited for the couple and wishing them the best via social media.
