September 18th is national cheeseburger day and some fast-food restaurants have decided to get into the holiday spirit and have amazing deals on getting a discounted cheeseburger, and at some places even for free.
In honor of the national day, if you go to McDonald’s you’ll be able to get a double cheeseburger for just 50 cents, which is 45 percent more than the original cheeseburger in 1948 according to CNN. However, only customers who have and use the McDonald’s app will have access to the deal, and the deal is limited to one burger per person. A typical cheeseburger usually costs at the lowest $1 and at the highest $2.79.
McDonald’s is not the only place to offer these amazing deals, Wendy’s is selling its junior bacon cheeseburger for just one cent until September 22nd if you buy something else from their menu. Burger king is giving out free burger if customers join their Royal Perks program and if they spend at least another dollar. “I love these deals because it helps me save money on one of my favorite meals,” Carson Pennington (9).
Fast-food places have historically been a low-profit business when it came to customer loyalty. These places usually do big giveaways, mostly tying to their apps, to help get more business. Pushing people to get the app for good deals and free stuff will drive customers to go to that place more often, as they get more deals from the app.
