Fall is one of the best times of year, with the cool autumn breeze and the smell of pumpkin in the air, there is not a better time for family activities, here are a few things to do this fall. 

• Boo on the Boardwalk 

Free admission, live music, and family activities. At Kemah board walk there is family friendly fun for children 5 and up. It will be from Fri Oct 6, 2023 – Tue Oct 31, 2023. All children under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian accompanying them at all times 

• 49th Annual Texas Renaissance Festival (closest location is in the woodlands) 

The Renaissance festival is a classic and an amazing family activity, with food entertainment like jousting and fire breathing with carnival games and rides. Takes place from October. 7th – November. 26th and prices range from 15$-30$ per person. If you are planning on going with young children, then stick to weekend 5 “heroes and villains” the others tend have more mature content. all children under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian accompanying them at all times.  

• Dewberry Farm Has It All! 

Go through corn mazes, pick pumpkins, and enjoy the animals at your local dewberry farm. General admission (ages 3-59) costs 35$ per person. From October 6th to October 29th all children under the age of 18 is recommended to have a parent or guardian accompanying them at all times. 

• Annual Haunted House at National Museum of Funeral History 

Go to the museum on funeral history where they’ll show you the “fun” in funeral. Haunted houses like you’ve never seen, your family will have a blast. Not recommended for children under the age of 7, all children under the age of 18 is recommended to have a parent or guardian accompanying them at all times 

• The George Ranch Pumpkin Round Up 

Get down to George ranch for their pumpkin round up from October 14th to November 25 with wagon rides and carriage you and your family can pick over 20 types of pumpkins flowers gourds and many other types of plants, general admission ranges from 15$ to about 20$. all children under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian accompanying them at all times
