Have you downloaded and used Temu recently? You could have potentially gotten personal information stolen. Temu is an app you can install on most devices, it allows you to purchase items like AirPods, kitchen wear, and lots of other everyday items at lower prices. Plaintiff Eric Hu claims Temu gains “short-term and fleeting benefits” such as saving money on the cost of compliance by failing to comply with standard security procedures that would protect the personal data of its users. Temu users have an obligation to ongoing risk of getting valuable information stolen due to Temu’s failure to make good security. Better Business Bureau or (BBB) earlier this month they allegedly warned users of all the information Temu was stealing including banking information and social media information. The BBB has received more than 900 complaints about unauthorized bank withdrawals and credit card purchases.
