On March 30th, the NCAA basketball underwent the elite eight leading to the final four of these teams. UConn beat Illinois, Alabama beat Clemson, Purdue beat Tennessee, and NC State beat Duke. When news came that NC state beat duke this left everyone in the basketball community completely surprised by this upset. Duke was the fourth seed while NC state was the eleventh, so when news came out that NC state beat duke, you can believe it left the whole community in shock.  

The final four include UConn, Alabama, Purdue, and NC state. The matches will take place on Saturday April 6th, and NC state will play against Purdue at 5:00 pm while Alabama and UConn will play against each other at 7:50 pm and they both will be taking place in central time. UConn won last year’s march madness tournament and has a good chance of repeating. The last team to win back-to-back was the 2006-07 Florida basketball team and ever since then there has yet to be a team to win back-to-back in the march madness tournament.
