The STAAR test is coming up and there’s many things you can, and should, do to prepare yourself for it.
First, make sure you know the classroom you will be testing in; you don’t want to get lost right before testing starts. Secondly, make sure your backpack is prepped and ready, so you aren’t rushing in the morning. Be sure to have your school issued computer and charger, something to do after the test (such as a book to read), and, if you want, you can pack a snack and water. Be mindful not to have a messy snack that will get all over your fingers and test materials like Takis or Cheetos.
The night before you should be sure to plug your laptop in before having a good dinner along with a good night’s rest of at least 8 hours. In the morning, dress comfortably in an outfit such as sweatpants and a comfy shirt, and a hoodie in case the room you’re assigned to is cold.
Most importantly, make sure you try your best. You must pass all the tests in order to graduate, and you’ll have to retake them if you fail. And while it is important to pass, also make sure not to stress too much and to go in with confidence.
