In souther California, wildfires have taken the homes, businesses, and lives of many people and animals, leaving an almost apocalyptic area of destruction behind it. 

The fires currently raving through Los Angeles have ruined more than 100,000 structures and burnt over 55 square miles. The fire has left over 300,000 people under evacuation orders and there are currently 25 dead as of January 15th.  

So far, there have been 6 total different fires within the week… weird, right? Not all these fires are natural disasters. There have been 2 arson arrests from separate incidents. Firefighters arrived at scene of one of the fires and found a group of guys actively lighting it, and another man has been arrested for confirmed arson for another fire. 

The Biden administration has sent help as well as Ukraine, Canada, and Mexico all sending firefighters to California to help them. They have started to bravely go in and retrieve special and important belongings, such as photos or documents, from peoples home due to them being unable to put out the fire.
