School spirit is high this week and our chargers showed up ready for the parade with floats from clubs, sports and student lead organizations.
The band performed a chant supported by our Silverado’s, followed by the Creekside cheer that performed a routine, and the Victory Lakes cheer team performing their own routine to the chant “Let’s Go VLI”. Our cheerleaders performed the chant “Go Big Blue” and then our Silverado’s performed a kick routine. Our varsity boys lost against the League City 49ers youth football team. Their second loss this season, with a score of 0/3.
In closing, Dr. Scott announced the awards for the floats. The funniest float being Class of 2027’s “67” float, “Most Creative” being theater with their float “Nails to Die for,” “Most Spirit” going to boys’ cross country with their float inspired by the band NSYNC, and the best overall float was golf’s float with “Put the Buccaneers in their place.”
With the closing of the parade, we can now check it off this year’s homecoming list.
