Although the Chargers lost against Westfield High School, the outcome of the game wasn’t the thing on everyone’s mind.

Charger wide receiver Isaiah Bibb (10) made a flipping touchdown catch on September 22 in Spring, Texas in a non-district football game. As quarterback Garrett Rooker (10) threw the ball, Bibb went up to catch the ball and was hit while in the air, but still held on to the ball.

“It’s been crazy lately getting all the attention from scouts,” Bibb said.

Bibb appeared on ESPN’s SportsCenter, the House of Highlights Instagram page, CBS Sports and other popular sports websites. In fact, his House of Highlights post gained more than one million views. However, Bibb didn’t recall the play that put him on the map.

“I don’t remember the flip, I just remember being in the air for a couple seconds and then after that I just walked off the field,” Bibb said.

All the exposure Bibb has received has been somewhat of a surprise. He didn’t expect his play to go viral. “I really didn’t until the next day when I woke up with all the notifications on my phone and all the sports accounts posting it,” he said.

Bibb has even had scouts from prestigious colleges contacting him.

“I had a couple of colleges like Texas, Oklahoma State, and Baylor,” Bibb said.

Bibb’s catch has put him on the map and will set him up for a bright future. The Chargers’ receiver has two more seasons left after this year, and he plans to be a vital piece in the success of the Charger football team.
