What is Academic Decathlon (ACADEC)? ACADEC is a class where you learn about a variety of subjects and many niche topics. This class is for everyone no matter your academic standing.
Some may ask, “how do I know if I’ll like the class?” The ideal student for ACEDEC is one who loves to learn, can collaborate, and has discipline. This class brings many opportunities to students like competing in UIL and even having the opportunity to make it nationally. ACADEC can be taken as your fourth English credit.
But ACADEC isn’t all about quizzes and memorization; it’s also a fun community. Every Friday students get to play “Quiz Bowl” and earn class money for food and drinks. This class allows students to make friends through games and collaboration.
Academic Decathlon is not only learning but it’s also fun.
