Houston is set to get its professional hockey fix again in 2026 with the arrival of the Houston Bulls, a junior team in the North American Hockey League (NAHL). The team is relocating from Iowa, marking the return of organized hockey to the metro area after more than a decade without a professional squad.
The Bulls will open a 150,000-square-foot facility featuring an 1,800-seat arena, suites, party decks, and an NHL-size practice rink designed for both professional and community use.
The arrival of the Bulls signals growing interest in ice sports across Houston. The 2026-27 season will feature over 30 home games, providing fresh energy into the city’s sports scene and offering residents an exciting new way to engage with professional athletes.
