The Freshman A Girls Basketball team began their season with a long streak of wins. This group of girls with strong skills looks to make an impact on the future of Springs girls basketball.

“We set some goals in the beginning of the year and we’re checking them off,” Coach Kailey Morrison said.

Colbrina Flowers (9) only started playing in 7th grade. She is a point guard, averaging 12 points each game.

“I just picked up a basketball in the park one time and started playing,” Flowers said. “I have good chemistry with my team,” she said.

Jermia Green (9), a guard, also scores over 10 points each game. She is a major contributor with her skills in passing, shooting, and playing defense.

“I like that basketball requires drive to get to win,” Audrey Gramayen (9) said. Gramayen has been playing since she was in first grade  and doesn’t plan to stop.

“I think our players are great; they really do help us win,” Coach Morrison said.
