Health Occupations Students of America is a student-led program to those wishing to pursue healthcare and those related careers. Students participate in competitions, community service, and plan social activities.

“In competitions, it depends on what you’re competing for,” Luis Escobar (10) said.

H.O.S.A members compete in CPR, medical terminology, and H.O.S.A facts and medical history.

“Students learn healthcare skills for competition, group activities and general information about healthcare,” Mrs. Tiffany Lynch, teacher, said.

“H.O.S.A lets you hang around your friends and do activities, like competition and blood drives. Students also go on field trips to the Natural Science Museum, touring hospital simulation laboratories,” Lynch said.
