Formula 1 racing team McLaren secured its 10th Constructors Championship title at the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix, marking the team’s first back-to-back title since 1991. The result adds to a dominant season during which McLaren has earned 12 victories and seven 1-2 finishes led by drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.
Despite finishing third and fourth in Singapore the points—how both Constructors and Drivers Championships are measured—were enough to secure the title with six races left. “Pretty awesome to go back-to-back…it’s been a while since we’ve done it,” said McLaren CEO Zak Brown during an interview with ESPN. “To secure the title with six races to go is an unbelievable effort from the entire team,” Andrea Stella, Team Principal, added.
At Clear Springs High School (CSHS), interest in Formula 1 is growing. In a poll of 145 CSHS students, 72% said they enjoy F1. “I was so excited to see [McLaren] won,” Brooke Hewitt (11) said.
With the Constructors crown secured, focus now shifts to the Drivers’ Championship where Piastri leads Norris by 14 points. McLaren aims to complete a historic season sweep.
