This year, our Homecoming football game was held on a Thursday instead of the traditional Friday night, bringing both excitement and challenges.
While the early game allowed students to celebrate before the weekend, it caused some dispute. Some students usually wear their Homecoming mums at the football game, but this year they were told to save them for Friday at the Homecoming carnival.
The schedule also affected participants in the band, color guard, drill team, and football teams. After performing or playing in the Thursday game, many returned home late and still had to wake up early the next day for school.
Despite these changes, the Thursday game offered a unique experience, spreading Homecoming excitement across multiple days.
